Dr. Hussein ElSayyed Center for Scientific Research (HRC)
Overview
Dr. Hussein El-Sayyed Center for Scientific Research (HRC) was found to establish a healthy research environment that not only facilitates and conducts multidisciplinary research and studies, but it also supports the educational process by providing scientific consultations and training to the students and community. Moreover, HRC provides mentorship and support for faculty members ((i.e. junior researchers) and students by involving them in research projects. This will give the students a chance to build practical research experience. HRC aspires to become a recognized research center of excellence in the dissemination and application of knowledge related to the university’s research themes. Thus, it works on applying state-of-the-art research knowledge to serve national needs and community services. HRC targets self-sustaining revenue channels by attracting local organizations and companies to start collaborations and partnership projects. HRC follows the research and innovation policy of UPM which addresses economic and industrial sectors targeting the societal issues and community challenges.
