Admission Requirements 

1. General Requirements

  • The applicant must have a university degree from a Saudi university or another recognized university.
  • The applicant must be of good conduct and medically fit.
  • The applicant must not have been previously dismissed by a disciplinary decision or due to a breach of academic integrity.
  • The applicant should submit two recommendation letters required from professors who have previously taught the applicant or industry expert who is familiar with the applicant's professional performance.

Note: Students who obtained their bachelor's degree in a country whose native language is English are exempt from the English Proficiency Test.

Application Documentation

Applicants must complete the official online application form and upload the following documents through the designated admission portal:

  • Copy of bachelor's degree certificate or its equivalent.
  • Copy of Saudi ID for Saudi students, Iqama or visit visa for non-Saudis.
  • Copy of Aptitude exam result, if set for the exam.
  • Medical report issued and stamped from a certified hospital or health care center.
  • Copy of English language certificate (IELTS or its equivalent), if available.
  • Two recommendation letters from university faculty who have previously taught the applicant or industry expert who is familiar with the applicant's professional performance.
  • One-page CV.
  • A recent photo.

Note: Applications submitted by any other method will not be accepted.

Admission Fees

The application fee for any graduate program is SAR 1000. An additional 15% VAT will be applied for international applicants. The application fee is non-refundable and must be paid for the application to be considered.

Application Process 

Applicants seeking admission to a Graduate Program must complete the official online application form. The graduate admission process shall include the following:

  1. The applicant shall complete the online application form and upload all required supporting documents within the announced application period.
  2. The Graduate Studies Department shall conduct an initial screening of applications based on the information and documents submitted to verify completeness, eligibility, and minimum admission requirements.
  3. Applications that satisfy the University's admission requirements shall be forwarded to the relevant College for academic evaluation, selection, and ranking.
  4. Applicants who do not meet the minimum GPA requirements or specific program criteria may be scheduled for an interview, coordinated by the Graduate Studies Department in collaboration with the respective College.
  5. The Graduate Studies Department shall conduct a final review to ensure that all admission conditions, requirements, and selection criteria have been fully satisfied.
  6. Official admission decisions (acceptance, conditional acceptance, or rejection) shall be communicated to applicants exclusively through their registered email address from the official Graduate Studies email (Graduate.studies@upm.edu.sa).
  7. Accepted applicants must confirm their enrollment and pay the prescribed tuition fees. A non-refundable registration down payment of SAR 3,000 must be paid no later than two weeks prior to the first day of classes.
  8. Conditional Admission may be granted to applicants who meet the majority of admission requirements but have minor deficiencies that can be addressed within a specified period. Applicants admitted conditionally shall be required to fulfill all specified conditions within the timeframe determined by Graduate Studies Department. Failure to satisfy the conditions within the prescribed period may result in revocation of admission or dismissal from the program.

Notes

  1. Applicants to Graduate Programs shall be required to pay a non-refundable admission fee to the University of Prince Mugrin (UPM) upon submission of the application. Applications shall not be processed until the prescribed fee has been received.
  2. Admission shall be considered provisional until the applicant submits original or officially certified copies of all required academic and credential documents to the Graduate Studies Department. Failure to provide verified documents may result in admission cancellation.
  3. Applicants who are denied admission or receive conditional admission may submit a formal appeal. Submission of an appeal does not guarantee reconsideration or reversal of the original admission decision.
