About This Achievement
From the classrooms of Prince Mugrin bin Abdulaziz University to publication in one of the world’s leading journals in Computer Science. The students Mohammed Naseif and Abdulrahman Hassan have successfully published a high-quality research paper in Expert Systems with Applications, a prestigious journal with an Impact Factor of 7.5, and ranked among the world’s high-impact journals in the field of Computer Science, according to ISI (Web of Science).
This achievement is the result of two years of continuous and dedicated research work, conducted under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Elhayek, and in collaboration with researchers from Prince Sultan University.
Driven by the AI Department’s encouragement of research beyond traditional boundaries, the students undertook an exceptionally challenging research problem, developing an advanced algorithm based on state-of-the-art deep learning techniques to achieve the highest possible accuracy in one of the most complex challenges in computer vision. This accomplishment reflects the academic excellence and strong research capabilities of the department’s students.
