Objectives of the Award 

The award aims to develop and enhance the educational process by:

 Motivating university faculty members to achieve quality and excellence in teaching. 

 Encouraging positive competition for innovation in teaching that positively impacts students. 

 Recognizing the efforts of faculty members and highlighting their achievements and excellence. 

 Cultivating initiative to contribute to the development of the educational process. 

 Promoting creativity and excellence in performance to achieve the university's mission. 

Targeted Categories 

University faculty members including professors, associate professors, assistant professors, and lecturers who are actively teaching.

Award Criteria: 

Criterion One 
Quality and excellence in job performance (60%)

Criterion Two 
Excellence in Curriculum and Course Development (15%)

Criterion Three 
Outstanding Contribution to Community Service and Extracurricular Activities (10%)

Criterion Four 
Outstanding Contribution to Research and Scientific Activities (5%)

Conditions for applying for the award: 

The applicant for this award must meet the following conditions:

1. The applicant must have spent at least two academic years in teaching duties at the university, starting from the date of joining the university.

2. The nominee must have a full teaching load in the semester in which the nomination is made.

3. Achieve a score of 85% in the annual performance evaluation.

4. Attain a score of 85% in the overall evaluation of all award criteria to be eligible for nomination.

5. The applicant must be in their current position and not on exceptional leave during the nomination period.

6. The applicant must have good conduct and behavior.

7. The applicant should not have been subject to disciplinary action in the past two years prior to their nomination.

8. The applicant should not be a member of the main committee of the award or any of its subcommittees.

9. For previous recipients, two years should have elapsed since receiving the award.

Other conditions: 

The Prince Mansoor Bin Mugrin Award is granted to outstanding academic staff members who have achieved the highest rating according to each college (one award for each winner at the level of each college, and one award for the winner at the level of the Deanship of Educational Services), totaling four awards. If this condition is not met at the college level, the award is granted to those who have achieved a rating of 85% or higher.
